The Chinese and Cambodian armed forces will hold joint training of "Golden Dragon-2019"
On the afternoon of February 28, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of National Defense, the deputy director of the Ministry of National Defense Information Bureau and the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, Ren Guoqiang, issued two messages:
Article 2: About the "Golden Dragon-2019" joint training between the Chinese and Cambodian armed forces.
According to the consensus reached by both sides, the Chinese and Cambodian armed forces will hold the "Golden Dragon-2019" joint training at the 70th Brigade General Training Ground of the Wangjiajun Infantry in Kampot Province, Cambodia from March 10th to 27th. The Chinese side sent 252 people to participate in the training of the Southern Army. Joint training includes professional training, tactical training, and comprehensive exercises. The joint training aims to enhance the traditional friendship between the Chinese and Cambodian armed forces, deepen pragmatic exchanges and cooperation, and enhance anti-terrorism operations capabilities. The "Golden Dragon" series of joint training is an important project of pragmatic cooperation between the Chinese and Cambodian armed forces. This year is the third time.
Cambodia is a close neighbor of China and a hardcore friend. In these two days, Lieutenant General Hong Manai, deputy commander-in-chief of Cambodia and commander of the army, visited China. The Chinese military is willing to work together with the Cambodian army to further deepen the cooperation between the two militaries, safeguard regional peace and stability, and benefit the two countries and their peoples
