We demand, President and Commander in-chief, who by the virtue of democracy owes us a duty of accountability to explain the mystery behind the mistreatment of Sowore and his co-defendant, Bakare- Comr Ikueyemi Solomon

Apoi Youth Voice group finally breaks silence on the re-arrest of comrade Omoyele Sowore.

It is an utmost desecration of the sanctity of the court and aberration of democracy.
We hereby express our heartfelt disappointment and disgust of the first of it's kind utmost desecration of the nations judicial system by men of the Department of Security Service inside a court of law. It is a total mockery of the sanctity of the court.

Furthermore an abuse of power which has led to further detention after a court of competent jurisdiction had ordered the release of the convener of RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) Friday morning in Abuja rearrested him contemptuously barely 24hours after he was released on bail in what could best be described as a defiance of the Constitution, the judiciary, the rule of law and ultimately a rape on Nigeria's democracy.

"We demand the President and Commander in-chief of the country, who by the virtue of democracy owes us a duty of accountability to explain the mystery behind the mistreatment of Sowore and his co defendant, Bakare".

"In addition this is a threat to the nation's democracy which has been with all consciousness properly guided to enable us exercise our fundamental rights as so enshrined in the constitution"

"This brazen act of impunity and miscarriage of justice do not portray progressiveness which is one of the major principles of democracy in an egalitarian society, but a reflection of dictatorship, and social injustice where the people do not matter, in the least and humanity trampled upon."

"President Buhari should ensure that operatives of the DSS found culpable in the unfortunate incident are brought to book. Let Sowore be released as ordered by the court and let sanity restored to our land to reposition the Nigerian entity among the comity of nations".

"It is only fair that we do not make further mess of our hard earned civil government and national reputation to avoid plunging the country into an irredeemable state of anarchy. Release Sowore and allow the law run its course."

We the APOI YOUTH VOICE GROUP hereby appeal as a concerned group for the immediate release of SOWORE OMOYELE who as a matter of fact is son of the APOI Clan of IJAW Nation
