COVID 19 SAGA: For not being allowed to smoke weed, Covid-19 positive Navy officer flees isolation center
A Naval officer who tested positive for Coronavirus, has escaped from the isolation centre in Oghara, Delta state, after threatening doctors and nurses with a jackknife.
SM Ahmadu was brought in on May 1, 2020, and was at the Isolation centre till Saturday, May 10, when he escaped.
According to a source, the navy officer had requested to smoke marijuana when he was brought to the centre last week but was disallowed.
When asked what could have informed his action to abscond, sources said the officer appeared like a drug addict, adding that he looked like one suffering drug withdrawal syndrome.
